Dr. Manek Patel is a very senior dental surgeon in Ahmedabad, who has been rendering professional services for more than 50 years. He served as a Professor of Dentistry at the ‘Municipal Medical College’, Ahmedabad and Dental Surgeon at Sheth ‘L.G.General Hospital’, Ahmedabad for fifteen years. He had been the ‘President of Indian Dental Association’ (Gujarat State) and Dental Practitioners’ Society, Ahmedabad. 47th National Dental Conference (IDC) and World Dental Conference of Government Dental College, Ahmedabad Alumni Association were held under the Chairmanship of Dr. Manek Patel. He was elected as a member of DCI (Dental Council of India) for 2 terms (10 years). He has authored the column and book “Dant Sathe Dosti” for the public at large. He has written 10 books and 4 Documentary Films on subject of Ahmedabad City and Mahatma Gandhi. He is currently the Chairman of the Dental Health Foundation, Ahmedabad.
